"Coffee Crazy EP was born out of Fanu's love for coffee – the black nectar of gods, the ultimate fuel behind every crazy multitalent, the sweet liquid that keeps us running in the long run, the ultimate nerve-firing ingredient that even Agent Cooper downed with passion. 

"Perky Percolator Jam" kicks off the jam with playful vibes, rolling breaks, and a double bass line, making you feel as perky as if you had just gulped down good sips of that percolator brew. 

"Above Waters" describes the ethereal vibe you have while on a coffee high, making you feel like you're floating above the sea. 

"Bad Coffee" got its name from a bad coffee experience Fanu had at St. Petersburg train station. Fanu had to put the horror into some kind of form to get it out of his system, and this is the result. 

"Espresso Deluxe" is a sweet combination of rich yet smooth elements that lets you savor the subtlety and intricacy you might find in a classy cup of good-quality coffee. 

"Mocca Overdose". Another case of putting bad experiences into musical form. Fanu downed two percolators worth of mocca + a few cups of filter coffee in a few hours (true story!), and the result was very heavy and brooding that seemed to last a little too long – just like this track. Enjoy with caution!"

"Duskdarter is an independent music label based in Brisbane. The label aims to bring together a community of like-minded musicians interested in, but not limited to, ambient and instrumental music. The primary focus of this label is to build an audience in Brisbane and around Australia and open the doors to the international community.

Recorded in early 2012, Half Steps is the follow up to Built From Stick's quietly well received I'm Not Finished Yet release. His fourth album sees the artist further explore both his fascination with intricate instrumental music and his love of slowcore. Opening with delicate guitar instrumentals and gradually moving into more traditional folk territory, the album continues to guide the listener into new and unexpected places. The title track, a soft guitar piece featuring accompanying trumpet from ghost notes bandmate Luke McCallum, is followed by a waltz driven piano piece with Jamie's unique vocal stylings. Throughout the album, guitar and piano are occasionally accompanied by drums (by Cam Smith), violin (by Jamie himself) and any other instrument he can get his hands on. This variation leaves every track it's own uniqueness."
